Default Screwin A Corbin Backrest

Couple of questions about a Corbin backrest. I have a classic solo and bought a backrest on ebay. Of course there is nobolt to hold it in. Spent an hour at Lowe's trying to find one that fit with no luck. Anyone know what size bolt it takes? It fits pretty snug, do you think you need the bolt to hold it in for safety reasons or would it be ok without it?

Sorry.......can't get past the drifts to go check, but I don't normally use any bolt at all. If you really need one, try NAPA.

Didn't install the bolt on mine - like to be able to remove it at any time without hassle. Yes, someone can steal it...but haven't had that happen.

Don't bolt mine down either. Like to take it in and out easily. If I'm in a place where I think it might go missing, I lock it in tour pack or saddlebag. If you still want one call Corbin toll free and I'm sure they will tell you the size.
