One came with my bike. Itwas never installed by myself or the previous owner. For me they do not hold enoughmusic (forget total gb's)tojustify cost of purchase andtrouble of install. However, some guys love them. I found thatyou can get more gb's from most aftermarket units. Sold the one I had on Ebay for $200, thenpaid $125 and went with a 4gb Sony that holds 2400 songs. Simply used velcro to attach it to my fairing. Works great and easy to download once you set up your library through Windows.

I have one and love it. I bought a 2gb sd card and have never filled it up. What I like is when I used my Sansa mp3 it was difficult to navigate the mp3 player. The HD player can be used with gloves and the readout is large so the rider doesn't have to refocus to read. Sure it cost more but for the convience and saftey I would recommend it. Due totoday's market cost of a mp3 HD needs to bring the price down and upgrade the sd card but we all know our friends in Milwaukee would never do that!

Plenty of better and way less expensive options out there that plug right into the auxiliary port on the front of the h/u. The ipods obviously as well as the Sandisk Sansa series, Creative, Sony's new Walkman mp3 players, etc........ You get the idea.

works good. I installed mine about 6 months ago. Not hard to install. It has an a or b switch. The instructions say use the b setting. Don't do it. You need to use a to have the volume. It holds 1 gb of music. It is easy to see and work wile going down the road.

Just got the ipod shuffle, 2GB, 500 songs, flash drive. $69. Love it! Velco onto the top of my dash and cord it into the aux hole. The only thing you can't do is switch songs via the hand controls, so I just let it shuffle play. You have to manually do it on the ipod. Volume is good, though you have to turn up the ipod to max before turning up your HD system. Just my .02....

I love the one I have. I had a regular mp3 player attached with velcro to the fairing but dealing with controls with gloves was nearlt impossable. Plus the batteries alway's seemed to go dead in the middle of the ride. The Harley one is a snap to hook up. all wireing can be done under the fairing while running the plug thru the fairing and alone side the raido to the aux jack. I put spade terminals on mine and plugged into the extra aux that Harley was so kind to have comming off the headlight wires. Pretty much plug and play. Even if I dident work at a dealership I would still pay full price for it.

Got one too and love it. I've had mine on my 05 ultra for about 2 years now. It has been through rain and everything and never missed a beat. Still works perfect. I've done the ipod thing too but this doesn't need charging either but to each his own.

Sorry I'm stuck in the 20th century, but when I hear these discussions about MP3 players I hear that:
1. HD is good because it is flash memory, but small storage.
2. Players with hard drives go **** up from the bumps etc.
3. Other players with larger flash memory suck because they must be recharged.

Is there a way to run them 12V?
Specific players?

I have trouble with engine noise on mine and it doesn't play very loud. Anyone else have this problem?
