Looks like I'm still the youngest "old fart" at 27. Did I win anything? [sm=joke.gif]
Also for you fellow SG owners..............Has anyone tried to lower the *** end yet? I know, I know. It's already lowered, but I like em LOW. My old Road King was so low, I had to run it up on a board just to get a lift under it. I just don't want to run into any issues with the new rear fender. I've been working on my sound system up front, so I've not got around to the back yet. Since I left the flat black bike stock, suspension wise, I've pretty much decided to keep it for the really long trips and kinda make the SG my "bar hopper", so ride quality isn't as important as looks. Of course I'll change my mind by tomorrow and want the SG for the long trips. lol I probably won't be able to make a definite decision until after Daytona. Any help?
I am 62, been riding for 45 years. Just traded my 2003 silver/black Fat Boy for a new Street Glide, black pearl. I spent a small fortune customizing the Fat Boy but fell in love with the SG. I have had numerous HDs as well as other bikes. Something for you young guys to remember. If your lucky, you'll get to be an old guy like me. Who cares what others think about what you ride, if it looks like a Geezer Glide or what you look like. It's all about the ride and the people who ride.
I'm an old guy but very young at heart. Let me tell you, you can't beat a bagger! I ride with a few young dudes that own dynas and softails. I let a few of them take a spin on my SG, guess what? You guessed it, they are ready to trade UP to a bagger.
Nope I got you beat. I am 24 had a SG but HD bought it back. Now I ride a Road King Classic. My wife hated the SG but loves the new RKC. I dont give a d@m what people think about the bike I ride, I know I will be comfy for the ride to Sturgis.

Dang, I used to be the youngest everywhere I went. Oh well, I guess it just means I'm getting closer to retirement!
I think HD is marketing the SG to the younger crowd and I also think it is working, by the way I just bought one and I am 31 and I love it more with with every passing mile.
