Sorry guys, I'm a traitor! Had a guy fall in love with my SG this weekend. Being the nice guy that I am, I didn't want to deprive this poor soul. End result.......I no longer have a SG, and now have a Big Dog Ridgeback setting in the garage.
I'm not a SG owner (I'm 46 if anyone is interested) But I had a guy stop and ask a bunch of questions on my ride. The main thing he was erally interested in was had I lowered the bike. He has a GW and said it was too tall for him. I stood my bike upright from the jiffy stand so he could get a better look at it. He wasn't 100% sure on the height but I told him that I had not lowered it. But I recommended to him a SG due to them being lowered. (See I got the SG back in there)
I also told him my dealer would just love to show him one.
He said he wasn't interested in payments even after I told him the base price on my bike (sorry guys, I couldn't remember the base on a SG). So I asked him what he had paid for his GW. He had traded for it. He didn't say what.
Somehow I don't think he'll be able to trade his GW for a SG without a good amount of cash. (No diss to Wingers. I think he had a older GW as he said he wanted something reliable.)

Well - I guess something was missing - huh? Good luck with the new ride, you were to young for that OLD farts ride anyway - LOL...

Does you new ride look something like this ?
The only thing missing was cubic inches. My other "old fart ride" is running a 95. I didn't want to put out 2 grand to get the SG up to that. I figured in the long run, I'd miss the power. You can be sure the Big Dog, won't be around long. It's cool and all, but there just ain't nothing better than a bagger, no matter which one it is.
Thanks for the compliments on the Big Dog. I just come back from a rather brisk ride on it. (Horay for Gerbings heated clothing!) I must admit, the BD has got some get up and go. It would smoke my Ultra in a heartbeat, and it will get a lot more looks than the UC. Just something about an ole bagger though, they just can't be beat. Great ride, room to carry stuff, not too costly to make "custom according to you". Most of the folks you run into riding them, are great, down to earth people. Definitely can't say that last one about some Chopper guys. A lot of older guys say they are still "young at heart". I'm a kid that's hooked on H-D Baggers. Guess I'm "old at heart"!
