Just got my "vanity plates" on 08-20-2008 and my 09 Street Glide came in on that date too but for my truck is HD R1DER, my 97 convertable is HD RIDR and the new SG will be TORCHY, my mother's nickname when she was young and the bike is red hot sunglo.
"CYOTE" is on the bike now. I wanted "ZEUS" as that was my childhood knickname (I guess I wasnoisy little kidor something), but that was taken. All the good ones seem to be taken as well.
Mine was "KYOTE" ( was called coyote, wolfie or something to that effect ever since grade school cuz my last name is Wolfe..so I kinda stuck with the Coyote theme..but there were too many letters..so used KYOTE, end of story..lol..) but I let it lapse in between bikes..( Cpl of of yrs between my 77 KZ1000LTD and 2000 Sportster). when I got the Sporty in 2001 somebody took it.. so I opted for a U.S. Veteran Plate.. nothing special.. just VK 29 but does have a Cool flag graphic and says "US Veteran".
In Minnesota were only allowed 6 digits. It sucks! makes it harder to come up with a good one.
My Fatboy says: DRTBKR Cause thats another passion of mine.
My Street Glide will say: OMNUS Because back in my roadracing days my teammate and myself had an Endurance team called "TEAM OMINUS"
