Default Zumo 550 Bracket
Recently got my '08 Road Glide, Zumo bracket I made for my '03 didn't fit (was loose) even though aftermarket bars are the same part number. Made a new one last week, thought I's share it with you. Some pics show it on the 1 1/4 barI mounted it on in order to polish it. It's made from 2 pieces of 1/2" 6061 aluminum. I took up machining as a hobby last summer. This was made on my mini mill.

I got the MicroLux, added a belt drive to replace the gears. Lots of fun to make little things.

I used the mini Techmount http://www.techmounts.com/products/in combination with a mounting plate and power cable from the HD handle bar mount part #92321-06. That gaveme a clean GPSinstall on the lower part of the handlebars with both power and audio capabilities through the AUX plug on the radio. When I park the bike the GPS is easily removed for secure storage or cleaning.
