I picked up a Mustang one piece touring saddle. Seat feels pretty good....BUT!!! with my 28" inseam.... I'll need traing wheels to ride.... so??? what are my options for lowering the bike? I see shock replacement as the only option..... i know there are shock re-location kits for other brands/types?
I'm shorter than you are. My inseam is 27 and I ride a street glide. I put 11.5 inch progessive shocks on the rear and an inch out of the front end. It handles good and doesn't bottom out. I tried lowering blocks but they were awful. I didn't like the handling and it bottomed out with even small bumps. Good luck and enjoy.
Air ride lowering kit in the rear and a Progressive lowering kit in the front. I ride with a vertically challenged guy who has tried all sorts of shocks and various brackets before listening to me. He now dumps the air when he is parking the bike or in slow traffic than inflates it when he gets rolling. Check out riderswap.com for the rear air ride (My ad , retail is posted).
Air Ride Suspension by Hi-Lo Air Ride. You will ride the bike about 1" to 1 1/2" off bottom. You can lower the bike all the way when you need to get your feet on the ground and then pump it back up on the fly. The only air ride with a lifetime time warranty on the shocks.
