Anyone put a Badlander seat on their Street Glide? I'm looking for something clean and low, but still a little comfortable. I was thinking I'd send the seat to Mean City Cycle for new foam and it'll still be cheaper than buying a custom seat.

I put one on my'07 FLHX. Around town I like it. Rode to Nebraska one weekend last year on it, first 100 miles it was fine. Gassed at 100 mi. , second 75 mi. was fine then it seemed uncomfortable. Luckily it was only 250mi to North Platte. Same thing coming back. The thing is I have a very high tolerance of lousy seats, and this one bothered me. Years ago I rode a '72 CH Sportster with it's really thin stock cobra seat, 500 mi. a day over and over. This was when we had the 55 mph speed limit, so it was a lot of hours to go 500 mi. If a seat bothers me it's pretty bad. The re-padding souns like a great idea. I have no problem with the stock S.G. seat on trips. Then put the Badlander on for around town and short trips.

I don't know about how a Badlander would do on a Street Glide but I had one on my 06 FLHT , it looked good but my tail was worn out after riding 86 miles to Memphis, I ended up selling it in the classifieds in hdforums. I am somewhat of a candy *** though, I couldn't stand the stock Street Glide seat om my 08 and couldn't wait to get a Sundowner seat. jmho

I think that is the best "looking" seat that harley makes. However, it sux if you are planning on any miles... Have one on my Fatboy, and can only handle it for about 200 miles in a day.
