If anyone thinks John McBush will change any of this mess in a positive way.....I would caution you that the price you currently pay to fill you crack pipe will be going up in parallel with the price you pay for gas ~ so start saving & enjoy!

called it NAFTA we agree with free trade with China and India and build up their economies, they have more money buy more cars need more gas and in turn hurt our economy, have you check out the dollar verus other currencies, In a matter of 16 short yrs they took a great Country like the USA and reduced it to nothing more than a average Country

For those of you who are (GW Huggers) and believe the prices are no big deal, this is from the wallstreet Journal; Amazing isn't it, most of us knew this wasn't just a matter of the economy (Righting) itself. It is called a Recession and it took long enough for the (Experts) to catch on.

its not the gas they make dough on so much. most only make pennies on a gallon. its the junk food like buying popcorn at a theatre.

Daughter just filled up my car, $72 for 19 gallons. Honestly I can almost not afford to drive back and forth to work in my crossover (18.5 mpg average)....the funny thing is I only drive 16 miles each way! My daughter drives about the same in her Mini and it take only Supreme...she is having trobles too.
Figure it this way...the cars cost 20k - 50k. So for the non-rich you are looking at $350 tosay $800 a month (give ortake)with $5000 or so down. Now I have to pay insurance too that is 1200 a year (average for my area). Then I need to buy gas which costs me $35+ (10 Gallons)to $72+ (20 Gallons) 3 to 4 times a month just to work and a few family events so I can pay for all this.
Your looking at $590 a month min to $1188 + a month on the high side. Min wage at 8.00 and hour and all you can afford is an old Ford T-bird that sucks gas like a banchie....and your still at $388 a month with no car payment on about $1000 net.
Now...ok the prices are going up but we are talking 25% per year...heck about 67% this year alone (2.50 to 3.69). I'm pretty sure my raise was not that high this year...oh wait...now the cost of milk is changing from $4a gallon to $6 a gallon to off set costs for shipping it to my grocery store.
Not even going to talk about the housing market with is at a point that if you never owned a house you never will. I have actually seen wages dropping in the area not raising.
Spoiled Americans? Yes....but at this rate our economy is in real trouble. Inflation is out of control...can't wait to pay $10 for a loaf of bread.
Public trasportation? Not hardly an option where I live.

You see my commuting vehicle below. I only drive my car when: I need to get something that won't fit on the bike, have to transport other people, or havebad weather. May end up buying another car...sigh..I just got this one paid off[:@]
