You may want to get a battery tender?
Show her how to unplug it, and plug it in.
Get a cover for it maybe?
Note: If you have kids and one of em plays on it, maybe shifts it in gear?
Moma tries to start it?.... Does she know what to do?
You'll be alright. I used to deploy all the time and leave my street rods.
Moma will take care of things.
Welcome to the forum! Thanks for your service. I was told just to fill it up and put it on a battery tender it'll be fine. A bike cover would also be helpful. Come home safe and soon!
Put some stabilizer in the gas and fill the tank up....run it a few minutes to make sure the sabilizer is all the way through the system. You might want to consider fogging the cylinders....spray fogging oil can be found at many boat or wave-runner type shops....just pull each plug and spray a good amount in each cylinder....I do mine while up on a lift, that way I can put the tranny in 5th and turn the cylinders over once or twice, then put the plugs back in. If possible take the weight off the tires, if not possible put a piece of wood under them to keep them up off the concrete. Have it cleaned/waxed good, if mice might be an issue get a good heavy piece of plastic and a soft tie...put one over the end of each muffler. Put a battery tender on it and cover it up. Oh....make sure fluids have been changed. You are probably better off not starting it.
don't cover it... covers hold moisture under them and with different temps and humidity changes you will get a condensation build up under them no matter what....I never cover mine just wash dust off in spring...and yes I would have my wife start it once a month if she runs it til its hot
I wonder about the cover with a battery tender and battery gasses being trapped under the cover. I store my boat for that long and i remove the battery and use a tender, fog the cyl, change the eng oil and lower unit oil and wait until summer. My bike gets used all year so others might have mo better bike storage info.
