Fast idle
I'm sure there's an answer for this somewhere but being new here, I have no idea where to look. I just got my new (old) 1995 Harley Davidson electra glide ultra and the idle is set at 1500 rpm's. I have a feeling it should be between a 1000 and 750. My question is, what should the idle for a warm bike be at and where can I adjust the idle on this particular bike. Thanking you in advance for any information you can give me.

Firstly , grab a factory repair manual.

Looks like yours would be the 99483-96A.
I would think the idle speed would be in the 950-1050 rpm range , but the older bikes may go slightly lower.
Most maintenance is fairly easy if you know how to do it , the manual will be your friend......
If you look over the air cleaner there should be a screw on the right , at a funny angle , that should be the idle speed screw.
Good luck.
