Have a 06 road king classic just turned 1000 mile mark, Would like to step on her a little but, I know people say hitting the rev-limit does not hurt a thing I've just never been a big fan of doing so. And with just about a cruisers out there today; no tach. Wanted to know what mph should shift points be made at when running hard. Just come off a v-rod so use to high rev engine you know 60 in 1st, 100 in 2ed that type of thing, Don't think the ol 1450 will pull that. By the way what is the rev-limit set at anyway.
I believe the rev limiter on touring bikes is 5400. Thats when mine starts barking. I have never hit the limiter but the dyno guy did....over...and over.....and over......
