So the bike is in pieces on the new build and now I'm looking at everything, thinking how can I save labor...
Wondering what upgrade shocks you might suggest for an 08 RKC. I ride 2 up 50% of the time, and I have had 6 back surgeries, so it has to be a bit cushy... Progressive 440 13.5" in Regular, not Heavy Duty? Or is there something better. Thanks,
J
I like the progressive 416 air shocks quick to change the air for one or two .I had ohlins on my dyna great shocks but a pain tochange the spring setting with the shock spanner when the better half wanted to come for a ride.
If you ride two up most of the timeand your combined weight is going to be over 300 lbs air ride suspension will be your best ride. www.Hi-Lorider.com With 6 back surgeries you need some help. If you are on the bike solo and weigh less then 240 it will ride a little stiff. The system is adjustable on the fly so if you need to lower the bike when in parking lots you can do so and then hit thecompressor button and pump it back up for the soft ride when you hit the road again. The shocks have aLife-Time warranty on them and a two year warranty on the compressor. We are the only manufacture that offers this waranty on there shocks. Systems on sale through April 15th for $895.00 to forum members.
With your weight anymanufactures air ride will be stiff on the RK. You will need to go with a good progressive shock. Take your average weight solo and two up and check progressives web-site and see what they recommend. Some of the other guys on the forum can probably give you some good advice but dosome research education is the best way to make the decision.
