Default Chrome forks???

Where would i find new lower forks for a 03 road king classic. The top parts are chrome already but the lower part is like machined. Basicaly make the whole front end look bad.Is this something you have to get from harley? About how much are they. Im thinking about getting them as a gift for someone. I also hear they make covers for them??? Anyone have pictures of the covers? Im thinking a whole new chrome piece would look batter then a cover but ive been wrong before. If anyone has pics for comparision that would be great!

Do a search on E-bay from Harley Chrome Lowers. I did a chrome exchange and mine were only $140. Harley wants about $300.

The "top parts" are bit chrome unless they have already been changed. Those top parts, the fork uppers, are stainless.

Actually they are not chrome, they are just polished stainless. You will have to buy the chrome covers also..........costs about $60 if I remember right.

Here is a picture of my finished forks -

Looks much better then the stockers.

As a couple have stated, your upper fork covers probably aren't chrome, they just appear to be. If you are going to do the job right you will need the uppers in chrome also.
