Default Cruise Control for older FLHTC

I want to add electronic cruise control to a 1998 FLHTC (carb version). Has anyone done this or knows if it is possible? I understand from various sources that the individual parts can be purchased but not a kit. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Call Dave, the owner, at Cruisemount.com. He's a very good guy and knows his stuff. Here's link:

Yep, I'm taking my 2000 FLHTCI down to Dave later this week if the weather holds up. Been trying to do it since late January. He lives near Emporia, KS which is about a 100 miles from the KC area. Dave says he can take the newer model cruise control units and make them work on our older bikes. I'll give you an update as soon as I get mine done.

Dave visited friends in Georgia two Thanksgivings ago and installed a prototype cruise control wiring harness on my '04 police model EG (the police models lack some of the wiring for a plug and play installation of the HD cruise unit) during his visit. We had talked by phone serveral times, but he didn't have a harness for the '04 EFI police model EG. He showed up on time with a cruise harness already prepared, except for the wire lengths. Did the installation, took lots of pics, and made careful notes sohe could re-produce the harness. It's worked greatever since.

I have an 03 FLHTC that is a Carb version and I have it on mine. I still have the paperwork with the kit number and info on it if it would help at all.

Thanks, I'll look at any possibility. I did check Cruisemount. One problem he states is the electronic speedometer. Mime is driven from the wheel and doesn't appear to have the electronic sensor. Not sure what it may take to change that.

You should be able to get all the parts you need from the MOCO we did a '94 about 18 months ago all went fine.
