Don't sweat it, your iPod will plug in the front of the stereo.A new head unitcan be expensive and not really needed. Hogtunes are a sponsor here on the board, contact Pez and he'll look after you. If you want he can sell you a plug and play amplifier that mounts under your fairing and a rear speaker pod and speakers that look like the ones on the Ultra except the speakers are bigger. More volume, more bas, more smiles.
cool -- i think i am gonna make my first upgrades...
Hogtunes front speakers
small black windshield
chrome removal on saddle bags
do you know if i would need the amp for the front speakers only? it appears that he sells it when you buy the back speakers -- or does he sell it ala carte?
Phone him, Pez is known for his customer service.
As far as the windshield is concerned, you can buy them from several different places for a lot less than the ones HD sells. May I suggest a 8" dark tint. The one in my signature pic. is a 10".Keeps the wind off you and you can still look over it.
Once you remove the rails fromt the saddlebag sides, if you like what you see with just the front bar, watch eBay, I got mine off of a Road King used for $35.00.
Another nice touch you may want to do (that won't cost much ) is to remove the front and rear bumpers. the rear one will need a $30.00 brace to replace the bumper, but it looks much better IMO.
Going out for beer and pool, so if you have any more questions tonight, someone else will have to respond or I'll check it in the middle of the night.
Congrats Elvis - Looks like you are getting some really good advice here, and you got a great bike. Even an Ultra is a blank canvas for customizing. From the looks of that Springer in the background, you won't need much help getting the look you want.
