SE exaust
Not much.I had them on my bike for almost 2,000 miles. in my opinion put the $300 towards something else. They are a little better than stock as far as loudness and depth. They just sound too metric for me.
I have the SE two piece slip-ons on my 07 Ultra.
I have two sets of tips, the fishtail and the slash/up/down/out/tips.
When "seasoned" the mufflers will come around to being just about right for a nice low but louder
"on the gas" rumble around town and aquieter rumble at 70 mph.
Mine have over 12k miles on themnow and seem to sound better all the time..They do need miles on them to sound
like they should.
Currently I'm runningthe slash tips in the upposition at this time. These seem toallow the sound to get to your ears better. Ithink the fishtails being longer, the sound gets pushedout the back further and they seem quieterbut they really aren't.
I also have the SE air filter and stage 1 installed. FYI

I installed the SE touring pipes on my RG and am happy with the rumble. Seems that the best sound is while runnig between 65 and 70. I installed the billet end capsto mine, but now the chrome is getting spotty.
The most important test is not when riding solo, but when riding with others. By yourself, you have a tendency to think that your bike is just fine. When you get with others, you begin to notice that you are struggling to keep up. IMO, the SE and stage one is the best bang for the buck. You pick up between 15 and 20 on the numbers for less than a grand, and you see better numbers than a lot of other so called performance pipes.
Don't believe it? Look for dyno results from some of the other manufacturers, plus, see if your dealer will cover them under warranty. Most may, but the truth is that a lot of the better looking pipes don't have the numbers that the SEs do. IF Harley could do what they wanted, SEs are probably what the bikes would come with stock.
JMO, YMMV. In the long run, I think you're better off with them than just about anything else on the market for overall performance gains vs. reliability.

Im happy with the sound of my SE Slip-ons. Nice rumble...a little noise when I twist the wick.....best part is when I shut if off...I dont hear it 1/2 hour later.
Next is a SERT .... WITHOUT the pipes (true duals).
