New slipons, remap needed?
I've bought a new Street Bob (will get it in april).
If I only changes the stock slipons to SE, Rinehart or V&H... do I need a remap?
(I know that I have to get it remapped if I get an more open AC).
Another thing I'm wondering about... on my sporty I had SE II. I wonder if the Rinehart slipons are much louder than SE II, or is it about the same?

the SEII you can make louder it is easy as hell the Ryn i am not sure about... i hear that thye are much louder than the SEII but have a good sound to them
I've had both cycle shack (like se II) and now Rineharts.I like the Rineharts much better. Deeper less tinny, and fit and finish isbetter. Of course they are twice as expensive. Both are pretty loud, but Rineharts are less obnoxious because the sound is a lot deeper. End caps will change color eventually, but they will send you new ones for free, problem is supposed to be fixed now.
forgot to add, personally I would at least get stage I remap(150.00) and do a/c at same time, otherwise you won't get full advantage of better scavenging of pipes. You'll be spending thousands anyway, spend some up front before you get it. Just a thought. Peace.
In answer to your first question. No, but that's not an absolute no as far as I'm concerned. Your bike will run lean and hot. Since you're not getting your bike until April, I would get a different a/c and pipes/exhaust at the same time. JMHO.
