Will a tank off a carb bike fit one that has injection?Local dealer says yes.So i am checking to make sure

Yes it will fit. Are you geting rid off your fuel injection and putting a carb on? If not a carb tank will not work

My understanding is a carb tank will not fit an injected bike.I would dig into this one a little more if I was you

Physically, sure it will fit, but it won't work...Your FI tank has a hole in between the fuel gage and the filler cap. This is where the sending unit goes for the fuel pump..Carb tank has no hole...The only bike that is different is the duece.

******Edit***** I didn't realize this was a Touring question. I only search through "Todays Posts". My above statement pertains specifically to softails, but i'm guessing the same is true with the touring.
