will a 04 injected tank fit an 04 carb bike? both superglides carb bike is a sport thanks in advance.

Anyone else have any knowledge about this cause it's for my brother and I'll catch hell if it does not fit

 

I do know there is a difference, I'm not sure but I don't think it will fit.

There were 6 "Superglide" models in the 2004 dyna family - FXD,FXDX,FXDC,FXDI,FXDXI,FXDCI .. they all use the same tank. For what it's worth - that same tank is still used in the current model FXD.

 

The tanks are the same the carb tank use's a shutoff the FI tank does not.

 

there is no difference between the tank of a carb or fi. bike. the tanks have the SAME part #. There is an adapter for the petcock. It comes on any 04-05 carb dyna.
