Ok.... that brings another discussion.... On a Road King Classic, I don't have a 12v outlet.... that I know of. [sm=confused06.gif]
No problem. You can add one or do what I do......I have a lighter socket on a 3 ft cord. I plug it in my heated gear harness. You can also plug them in a battery tender harness. Either way, you can have 12v power for about 15 bucks.
Listen for air escaping
buy a gatorade soapy water works better, and pour it on your tire slowly rotate look for bubbles
Look for a cut
Maybe notice item protruding from tire
spit in valve stem and see if it bubbles too
Call motor pool and ask for technical assistance
That's funny! Seriously any long distance riding especially off the beaten path, you have to carry a plug kit/compressor. Bummer about the flat though[:@]
I carry a plug kit and co2 cartridges, but after reading here I may want to get one of those mini compressors. Hate to have a bomb go off in my saddlebag.
I wonder if the air shock pump will air up a tire.
I have found that tires tend to go flat for one reason or another when there is about 10% of thetread life left. If you anticipate a trip and you are close to needing new tires. Do it before you take the trip. If you have alloy wheels, a good plug kit like stop and go should be carried in the sadlle bag.
