Just curious if anyone has purchased, or is working on purchasing a bike in the Mid Atlantic (VA,MD,NJ, NC),and what their "read"on the dealershipsis as far as the "sale" went or is going.
I'm getting ready to move on a bike, don't know if it will be a RKC, EGC, or RG, yet, but, which ever one it is will bePewter Pearl. Also looking "Used" (keepin the options open) but am curious as to what's going on at the Dealers.
Had some buddy's buy there bike's at H-D Washington. They seemed pretty happy. I got both of mine at ***'s HD in Rock Hill SC. I think they have a dealership in NC too. In that case check them out, I was happy with there sister store in SC. By the way you don't happen to be the jimbo who works at H-D Washington?
If you are willing to head tothe east side ofTN, I would buy again from Smokey Mountain HD down in Pigeon Forge. Tell Mike and James that Brent sent ya.
The dealership in Trenton, N.J. has a great service dept. They actually helped me out with a warranty issue. If there sales dept. is anything like the service dept. I don't think you can go wrong.
Seaford HD is where mine was purchased. Good price, sales folks are good to deal with, and good service department.
Other Option is Mike's Famous HD. Their "list" pricing is more than MSRP. However, a friend boughtone there just last month and got a good deal. Mike's has two locations in Delaware. One in the Wilmington area and the other in central Delaware. I've used the central Delaware location and the service was good. They did 2 warranty items and a 5K service for me.
I'd pick a place, become friendly and work out a deal. When you get it somewhere else and then try and go in for parts and/or service, you'll find no joy - they'll treat you like poison. On the other hand, when you are comitted to a place, you'll be surprised at what might come your way. I can't complain about the discount I get on parts and I've had service done with a break and sometimes, if it's a minor issue, for free. They go out of their way to help me. Good luck.
Jersey, I would go either to Trenton or Long Branch. Both dealers are good people. Long Branch gives 500 in store credit, extra warranty, and 5k worth of service, free. Trenton also has deals, though as we get into spring the deals are dwindling. best deals are always late january to early march. service in both is great. trenton has a dyno. sales in both is also great.
but if you have the freedom to buy anywhere maybe think also about sales tax. isn't delaware a tax fee state?
