i hope this is the touring model page... anyway, i asked this questionon the softail page and only got one response. ok, can i mount a tour glide fairing (any year) onto a 96 fat boy ????
I mounted a 06 Road Glide on my 03 FXST. Just had to fabricate the mounting brackets and had to put different handlebars on. here's pic's prior to painting . I have a FL front end that will be put on
I looked at Hoppe (right up the street) but look the shark nose vs. the bat wing. I didn't see any company that makes kits for the RG for the Softail(I have the Cycle visions for the hard bags) and I know they made mounts for the Vrod.

Direct bolt on, I'd have to say no. But throw enough time and money at it and anything is possible.
You'll end up doing some custom fabbing, but not an impossible task at all. I converted a frame-mount Quicksilver to a Handlebar-mount on a different bike, just took some customizing.
