Agree with the frogg toggs or anything gore-tex.........but I am cheap and hate riding in the rain anyway.......and if my cheap ones keep me dry, and they do, why spend more money to be........ dryer???

Frogg Toggs here. Keep me dry and pack really small in the included bag.

The wife and I used Frogg Toggs for several years but they final wore out. Yes, we were careful not to get them up against the hot exhaust pipes! After 7,000+ miles last year riding down the Alaska Highway (and back) to Yellowstone, Deadwood and Rapid City....we upgraded. Bought the First Gear Rainman jacket in bright yellow (yep, like to be seen in the rain). Didn't like the First Gear pants so went to the local REI and bought their rain pants. They zip all the way up/down on both sides which makes them a dream to put on along the side of the highway! Just our 2 cents worth....

+1 on the Tour Master. Have used it many time and no complaints except wet feet. I need to get some waterproof boots.

I have the Overpass II as well, and it's a great outfit for the money. It can get a little hot and stuffy in the summer, but does well in small storms in just about any season.

In the winter, I wear an Olympia AST Touring Jacket and matching pants. They are of a breathable waterproof fabric and do a great job (very expensive though). This is a heavy (literally!) duty outfit that really does a great job - armor, venting, all kinds of pockets.

Have found the frogg toggsadequate innormal rain,in heavy rain you will get a little wet. For the price there worth it, unless you need to stay 100% dry.

I have the HD FXRG nylon stuff (the leather costs alot and is very heavy.) I have tour master but once wet it is hard to get pants on. FXRG is all season and the pant legs unzip up the sides. In anything you sweat and you may as well not have gear on! 4 years all year round in Pennsylvania and showin no signs of wear!
I hate rain but when miles form home what you gonna do!
Ride safe.
