has anyone use this type of sissy bar before on a road king and if so what else is needed to mount it.

Sarge, I wonder if this is the backrest portion of the Chrome Four-Channel Luggage Rack that is on the HD website at this address:

If so, then it looks like a visit to the HD store is in order to get the other part of the rack...
