they want 399 for it at home depot
If I were buying again I might consider the 600c but I would spend a lot of time googling as much info from users as possible. Just like you have started here.

I had a Lowrance, don't remember what model. I spent hours trying to figure out how to use it; very complicated. Finally returned it and got a Garmin 60CX. I was using it in 20 minutes.My brother-in-law had a Lowrance also; after several hours he threw his in the drawer and gave up. Lowrance seems to be more of a boating GPS. Not sure when you will be riding on inland lakes or rivers.
