Welcome to the harley world. I too came from a sport bike to the roadking. I love the way it rides and I can now slow down and take in the sites. If I want to go fast I just hop on the GSXR and have at it. Best of both worlds.
Congrats! and welcome to the forum from Ashby Massachusetts (where we got 7 inches of snow today).
I've been out riding for a while now and just got back from a week down at DealsGap.
Say hello over in the Northeast section too. We go for some group rides on ocassion (like almost every weekend) out here in central Ma and southwest NH, so keep an eye open.
Where you from Willie! and again congrats on the bike!!
I'm another Harley newbie. After 30-some years of riding other stuff (which I still love), I picked up my 08 RK in January and have all of 1700 miles on it. I have to agree with the other sentiments - there is just something amazingly seductive about the whole HD experience. As a Harley buddy of mine says, "I just can't get it off my ***!"
I haven't been this charged up about riding in fifteen years. I'm enjoying the cold-to-coolish rides I've managed to get in so far (and counting my blessings that I've had those), but I am SO looking forward to warm weather this year!
This is exactly why I bought a Harley...............Everyone who rides one is so friendly. Its like, finally I've been accepted and gained instant respect and standing in the motorcycle community.
Thanks for the friendly welcome to the HD club.
