Default Should I go with RUSH PIPES?

Hey Guys - I'm new to this site and it really looks like a pretty kewl place to get some good input from some experienced riders. I am suppose to pick up my new 2006 Road King standard fuel inj. either Tues or Weds of this week. My question is this: Should I go with the Rush pipes for my bike? The sales guy was making a pretty good sales pitch for the RUSH pipes. Are they worth the money? If I do go with the Rush pipes what will have to be done to the engine in able to get the best performance and efficiency? Or are there other pipes I need to take a look at. Thanks in advance for all your input.

Don't go on just someones hear-say. What some people like from a pipe, others don't. I would check out the sound of pipes at a local run or watering hole to see if you can find the sound you like. I'm not knocking Rineharts, but I don't care for them. A bit pricey and everybody and their aunts and uncles have Rineharts. I want something different from everyone else. Just my opinion though. I'm looking at the Rush 2.500 myself, but won't buy until I hear them. I've heard they are a good quality exhaust, but I don't know what they sound like.

I have Rush 2.00" on my 05 Ultra and like them very much.

But a little on the tame side for me.

Changing baffles to 2.50" this spring. Hope to still be able to hear the HOGTUNES afterwards.

Would be nice to hear from ANYONE who has Rush 2.50" baffles??? Experiences???

Tips on changing out baffles???

THX

Buddy has Rineharts and I don't care for them either or the black caps that turn purple.

I have a couple of buds that run the Rush mufflers. I think they sound awesome. Real deep rumble and sound great under acceleration. Very good price also. I think they both have the 2" baffles.

If I didn't have Rinehart TD's the Rush would be a good choice.

Put the Rush 1.75 on mine and no problems. They have a good sound. The Rineharts are just to much $$$$ for what you get.

You might try rolling thunder mufflers, I put them on my '05 Ultra and just love em. They only cost $199.00 shipping included, there are several styles to choose from and they fit perfect and look great. Look them up online
