I would leave the shop with the SE 110 so you don't have to do all the engine upgrades.

I would not waste money on a SE 110 many better motors with less issues on the market. In all fairness if money is a issue than slipons only will give you sound. slipons + stage 1 intake will require a tuner (fuel pak )or download buy h-d (this will not fix the heat issue still epa approved)but will run stronger.Or go aftermarket 100 diffrent ways. Cheapest route ride it stock and do it once you know what you want.

I have had my SG for about a month and it is still stock as far as intake and exhaust goes. My plan is to get the first 1,000mi on it while deciding what it is I want to go with. I think I am going to go with the Rush Fuel Moto kit when good ol George Bush sends us all some money in May. I should have my 1000mi by then. This will also give me a chance to feel the difference between stock and and the Fuel Moto setup.

I wouldn't waste your money with slip ons at all. If you want sound, real sound go with the True Duals and sert. If you go Rineharts add the high performance baffles for $120 more(Better sounding and louder). They are worth it. You will never be satisfied with the sound of a slip on when you hear someone with True Duals.

thanks for input, but still a little confussed. So the slipons will do nothing except sound better prepared to wait but what about stage 1 with a remap? should that not smooth things out a bit and being a canadian bike would the download be different, trying to avoid too lean thus excessive heat etc.

Slip ons will do nothing but help with sound. Not that good Harley sound either. Don't think you will be truly happy until you get true duals.IMO. But that is a difference between $400 and $2000+

If you want to solve the heat issue you will need to get some kind of fuel management system. I am personally going with the Power Commander but there are many to choose from. How much do you want to spend? If you want to do it right I would say mufflers or full exhaust, fuel management, and air cleaner upgrade. They will work together to give you better performance and help the engine run cooler (richer).
