About the ABS, I can't say that I notice or feel any difference in the ride with the ABS vs the non-ABS. From what I've read and been told the only time you'll notice the difference in a fast hard stop where you'd usually lock up the front or rear wheel. With ABS that doesn't happen, you just feel a heavy vibration and no wheel lock up, which in the case of the front wheel, keeps you upright instead of hittin the dirt. I saw a demo of the ABS at the dealer and actually saw two bikes ABS - non ABS, put through a hard stop. You could see the sidewalls of the tires on the non ABS bike actually ripple and compress beforeandd during lock up. With ABS, no ripple or compression, just a smooth stop.
I wasn't necessarily interested in getting ABS, but the demo convinced me otherwise, that and the fact the dealer threw in the ABS at no cost. Also, I figure better to have it and not need it, than the other way around!!

Thanks for the info on the grip change out.I had a set of instr printed out from the service shop and is looked pretty straight forward, compared to the old style and having to pull cable ends out of the ferrels then readjust the cable tennsion etc, etc. After hearing your experience I'm inspired to not give the dealer$70and do it myself. Besides, no ones as careful and as fussy with your ride than your are. I'm thinkin either Ironside or Chrome and Rrubber Contour
