Default What To Do?

Just got back from a trip to Charleston, SC from the Altanta, GA area on my new 08 Ultra, it had about 700 mile on it when I left and I did 538 in the rain and the cold. Anyway after a long run of around 120 mile or so when I pulled of to take a break I noticed my Idle was acting strange, anywhere fro 10K to 2)k and everywhere in between and the gas MPG going down there sucked really bad -anywhere from 30 MPG to 37 MPG. I was riding 2 up with gear but I would expect more than 32 MPG. Coming home it got alot better both tanks I check where right at 41+ MPG which I was glad to get, I was 2 up coming back also same everything. ANyone have any info on the Idle and the thing sucking gas? I have a stage 1 with slip on V & H and that's it. Thanks for any info before I head off in searh of something the stealer will say.

Thats probably why then. As I was told with the FI '08's when you add the slip on and Stage 1 kit then you need at min the Stage 1 download and even better yet a FMS or tuner. Even though it has o2 sensors still the addition/changing of the pipes and the air kit throws the air fuel mix outta sync/wack withoutthe DL, FMS or tuner.

Try this thread. https://www.hdforums.com/m_3108859/tm.htmIt might be of interest regarding TBW on 08s.

Somethign to think about, is when you start a post be specific in the Subject so that others know what the topic is if they are searching for answers. "What To Do" could be about anything, including your girlfirend.

There has been a lot of talk online about the new TBW system sticking, and has been reported to have caused a few accidents also.

all the trouble was with the 1 tank of gas and the other tanks ran fine . it could be as simple as a bad batch of gas in the 1st tank.

Recently rented anew 2008 EG Standard, w/20 miles on the odometer, and encountered same idle problem. I called the dealer and and I was informed on the 2008 this is typical for the first 1000 miles. After about 30mins fo riding the idle was normal and did not reencounter the prblem.
