bought new chrome calipers off of flebay,,,
and a new master cyclinder for my 04 flht
( all chrome)
the stock required dot 5 fluid ,, so i put dot 5 in the new calipers on the front..
I noticed today the new MC says dot 4, its for a 05.....
darn,,,, I am going to put DOT 5 in it anyway,,,
question,, will the dot 5 be compatible with my NEW calipers..as they did not specify with to use. They have never had dot 4 in them... I know you cannot mix or switch fluids.
The calipers are not expactly the same design,,, but bolt up the same and look pretty much the same. They are bolts together from the back, not the front.
