i pulled a rookie move the other day. forgot and left my bike in gear the other nite-next morn reached over and hit the starter -bike lurched forward and fell into a shelf in the garage. only damage was it snapped my nera new clearview 12" recurve in half. was talkin to John at clearview about ordering a new one and he mentioned "blem's", anyone tried those yet??????????any opinions??
i have read it before and probably will again how Harley shouldnt worry about a bike starting in gear or with the kickstand down-we riders are to blame for making the mistake. well.........all i gotta say is that this one area that most EVERY other bike manufacturer is ahead of harley. i guess the automotive neutral saftey switch is a useless item too.
BTW- i see nothing on thier website about blems. weird
I just put a blem on my bike on Monday. Mine is only a 6 1/2" recurve, but the scratches are below the level of the visible windshield when on the bike. Mine's not a show bike, so a little scratch here or there doesn't bother me anyhow, but I had a heck of a time even finding the scratches before I put it on the bike. I wouldn't be afraid of ordering a blem again, plus you get it in a few days instead of 4-6 weeks.
Go to the in stock tab on their web site. I was looking at them a few days ago.
I've been in contact with them about my next shield as well. They made me an awesome shield a few years back for my road glide but I guess they don't offer that tint in that material any more so I'm kinda stuck right now.

ok what am i doin wrong? i see no "stock" option-even did a search with the word "stock" and found nuthin???
Relli,
Over thepast several years I've bought three different blems from him, they're great! Two of mine I polished out a little scratch (can't do that on a Harley shield) and the third one the dash board tripple bag hide it just fine! They are RIGHT there so instant shippin and now long waits plus for a cheapskate like me they are a great bargin...only caution is on the tinted one, at night on a long haul it seems to really fatigue my eyes (or maybe I'm already fatigued)... opinions are like ***** and I got a really big one.
Ride Safe
GAWD!!!!!it was right there and i didnt see it thanks.
i appreciate all the input but im replacing my HD shield cause it has a small scratch that im drwan to every time i get on the bike. just me i guess bit for a 16 dollar diff i cant see buying scratched. it would have ta be a deeper discount for me to consider. thanks again guys.
