Default The Road King is no more

Traded in for a Electra Glide Classic with cruise and ABS. Be here next Wednesday. It's going to be a long 5 days but I think I'm going to love it.

Yep the RK is a great bike, but having tunes, guages, hard bags and the tourpak, ....you are going to be stylin'!! Lottsa' comfort factors and convenience factors going on there!!

Hogtunes, Stage 1 FuelMoto power package and good set of highway pegs, ...I did the detachable tourpak option, but some guys love the tourpak so much they never want to take it off.

Be sure to post pics!!

Sorry to hear in one respect. Love my RK. But congrats. Probably feels like your birthday.

Congrats on the new ride, I know the feeling. Did the same thing 6 mo. ago and got an '08 Aniv. Ultra and I'm real happy I made the move and I know you will too. Granted is is tough when you see a RK go by and you think about the great rides you had on her but then your new girl will take you down some great new roads!

The RK was a great bike and I put 26,000 miles on her in 2 years but I really wanted the ABS and thought it was time for a radio and fairing. I had a tour pak on the RK and I'm moving the detachable docking hardware to the EG. I'm going to do the stage 1 to lowerthe heat. Do you think the dealer remap is sufficient? I'd like to save the money of a SERT.

Dear AISTQM
I too sold my Road King 05, and just got my new dresser 2008 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic, cruise, no ABS. I always since 88 had full dressers. In 2005 I bought my first and last Road King, as I figured Id just take off the windshied when I wanted the wind in my face and I didnt need the radio or the batwing full fairing, man was i wrong!!! Put the shield on again never to come off so my delima either put on an Aftermarket fairing, six speed, up the engine, install a Tour Pak,or sell it! For those mods at least5K. Sold RK for 13K,took5K and the RK Money, along with some accesories I sold on E Bayand bought the new bike!Couldnt be happier. Purchused it new from "Lombardi's Harley Davidson" Staten Island NY, Mark the Sales Manager!I have only 300 miles on the new bike, I love it best thing I ever did, although next time I wont get Black!! don't get me wrong the Road King is a great bike, if thats what you want, I loved the bike too, just didnt fit my needs. You also made the right choice!!! Ride Safe my Brother, Good Luck!!! Bill
