wondering what the hell takes 3 to 4 hours to tune on a bike. The guy who dynoed mine the ohter year made a run.changed jets and reset timing.Took about hour to make two runs, before third pull just to see if it wanted more fuel.
I know fuel injection ahd few things extra to tune, but then most are done on a computer.
RATS WHOLE PLACE HERE IN CENTRAL IL. CAHRGES $70 PER HOUR FOR DYNO TIME. RAT (BOB) JUST PUT CAMS, AIR CLEANER, AND THUNDERMAX ON MY 07 SG AND CAHRGED ME FOR 1.1 HOURS OF DYNO TIME.
There's an Indy in Raeford NC that will tune for 220 bucks. He will also run up your bike prior through all the rpms and throttle positions to recommend if it would be worth it to even tune (for free). He's a certified harley tech and dyno-jet trained. I had him do mine, and i am very close. Just a tad lean in one rpm range, but the rest is good. I had the fuelmoto/rush/K%N set-up, it was a little rich, so i used the buttons on the PCIII to lean it out a tad. Now I'm up to 37 mpg. It was at 31 mpg, so, it's runnningpretty good.
Mine cost $250 for dyno tuning with the SERT that was installed with my Stage-1. Took 2-3 hours, but think I need to get it back in.....already talked to the shop getting it back in won't cost anything. It seems to be running pretty good, but my milage really dropped and the plugs are black and ugly, so its running too rich. I wanted to run another tank through it to be sure, so the service writer just told me to give a call when I want to get it back in.
