If you can put up with all the BS, use channel 19 on the interstate and let the truckers be your "eyes and ears". If you are running with a group of riders, use something else, and the higher (above 20) channels USUALLY have less traffic. Remember channel 9 is the emergency channel, and most LEO's that run CB's usually have a radio that overides to that channel. Unfortunately, LEO's with CB's are becoming fewer and fewer.
There really isn't one channel that bikes use. But...............
Channel 1 on the CB has been refered to as the Harley Channel since the 70's.Channel 11 was often refered to as the double Harley. That goes back to the big #1 that Harley came out with in 1976 or so. Because of that many people with bikes equipt with CB's started using it.
When traveling in a pack we try and find a channel that has little traffic on it. But it is nice to be able to switch back to 19 to hear traffic stuff from the big trucks.......
Thanks guys and gals for the information. Maybe we should start a bike only channel this would help, when we traveling state to state. We could use Keystone's idea of using 1 or 11.
