console ignition switch corrosion

My 07 Road king started to develop a problem with the console ignition switch. It would'nt make contact when I turned it on unless I wiggled it around and found a "sweet spot". Took it apart tonight to find corrosion on the contact points inside the switch. Would it be to much to ask of the MoCo to put a little dilectric grease in there? Has anyone else had any problems with this. Was'nt that big of a deal to take it apart and clean up the points, but come on.

Having the same issue with my 2010 Electraglide Classic. Turn on the switch and zero power, on the dash, nothing happens. Back and forth several times and then it works.

Take it apart and clean it.

I had same issue on my 1998 Dyna Wide Glide. Replaced the switch assembly fixed my problem. Seems it has been a problem for HD for many years. Did make it obvious to me how easy it was to steal my bike with just a wrench and a jumper wire to bypass the switch.
