Default Shock problem

Took the 06 SG in for the 25000 mile maintenance here in Yuma. Bobby's Territorial is the dealer. I had asked them to check into a strange noise I was hearing on the back end when the bike was freshly parked. Sounded like a "thunk, thunk, thunk" but was not too loud. It sounded like a shock losing air pressure. When I picked the SG up, the tech told me that he could not dupicate the noise but then made a comment about how rough the SG rode. I asked him if it was that rough compared to other SG's he had ridden and he emphatically said it was. He also told me that he had checked the air pressure in the shocks and it was correct for two up riding, which I had been doing. Well, eventually we got the boss involved. He decided that one or both of the shocks were "stuck" or seized up. Sure enough, when he sat on the bike and bounced up and down, the shocks bottomed out but did not come back up. However, they did slowly make a "thunk, thunk, thunk" as they crept back up to their normal position. Obviously, both of them needed to be replaced. They did not have SG shocks in stock so they put a brand new pair of touring shocks on asloaners for the weekend. They are 3/4 of an inch taller but did not cause any problem. I rode it Friday for about 60 miles. I cannot believe the difference. I had noticed that the ride was rough and at times, when hitting bumps, bone jarring. Mama had also commented that I needed more air in the shocks but I did not realize I was basically riding a hardtail. Anyway, just wanted to share that and put in a good word for Bobby's. Seems dealers almost always get bad comments here so I wanted to put something postitive. Happy riding!
