Default Dumbest question ever asked - Update

To all;

I just wanted to bring everyone up to speed on the "Trip reset button" issue. You will all be happy to know I pushed the button and found I have an "A" and a "B" trip odometer as well as my total mileage odometer (which did not clear itself). Wow! Three modes of operation; who knew?(apparently most of you folks)

This has openened up entirely new avenues of study for me, e.g., I can find out exactly how far it is to my favorite watering hole and at the same time determine what kind of mileage I'm getting on a tank of gas. This is astounding!

Thanks to all of you for helping me get over my fear of "pushing the button". I was thinking of starting "Button Pushers Anonymous", however, based upon the responses I received on HDF I'd be the only person attending.

You should all give yourselves a pat on the back for helping a brother Scooter-Tramp overcome his unnatural fear of pushing the button.

i still find it amazing that you are really that daft...LOL
your signature states that you have all this done to your bike:
Doherty Power PACC
S&S 510g Cams
SE Adjustable Push Rods
PCIIIUSB
RB Racing 2-1 LSR Exhaust
Dyno Results: 88.5 lbs TQ @ 4,050 RPM and 77.4 HP @ 5,175 RPM

Probably a lot more but yet you have never been brave enough to push the frigging reset button on the trip odometer. Your delaer must really like you, becasue i doubt you ever do any thing for yourself. I bet the new pushrods you have listed were not installed by you. If so, then kudos but wow you are daft.
How in the world did you ever figure out how to actually start the bike? Oh yeah the dealer told you how.

You know we are just going to continue to give you **** about this for a long time to come??? You alo know that when you ask a real stupid question folks like me will rag you about it just for fun...no harm intended..well maybe a little...but its all in good forum fun.

If you are even in my neck of the woods i will buy you a beer...but i will get the barkeep to open it for you cause i doubt if you can figure that our either...more fun at your expense...LOL!!!

Now that wasn't so hard, was it?

Now just don't get obsessed with it!

Too funny! It's good that you can be lighthearted about it. I am no mechanic either, don't sweat it. Maybe you should start thinking of opening up a bike shop with your new found knowledge. You could even hire me as a mechanic too. We can call it Foreverbroke Scooters.

Scoot,
Don't feel bad. It took me several days before I realized the "air" gauge on the dash was not indicating pressure for the rear shocks.

Did he miss the "r" mode or doesn't his bike have it? Better yet, maybe we'll wait until the advanced button class so not to overload him

Ride well and leave the buttons alone,

Jim
