So i make a disc with Windows media player in MP3 format and it won't play in the HK player. I look in the manual and it says it has to be in MPEG2.5 LevelIII. So my question is what do i use to create a disc in this format so it will play. Thanks Dave

I just Burnt 4 disk from reg format to MP3 last night using Windows Media. had No problem. Checked operation in Bike ok.............I ripped then (4 disc) and saved them to "My Lib" then selected DATA FORMAT DISK and burnt them all plus an additional few onto the MP3 Disc. Even show song title etc. only thing I can think of is check your VER number on your bike with the Harley site and see if you need to update your VER number. Also see if your Window's media has a update available? Mine is 10.00.00.xxxx
I was able to put on a total of 11hours on one data CD(MP3) + - 650mb on a 700mb disc (CD-R)

I burn between 175 and 200 songs in the MP3 format on a 700mb CD and have no problems playing them on my HK. Are you ripping the songs from a music CD or are you downloading them from a shareware site?
If you're ripping them, you need to make sure theirripped in theMP3 format and not an MPEG format, as Stro1965 stated above. If your downloading from a shareware site then they should already be in either the MP3 or WMA format, which both should play on your HK system with no problems.
If your having troubleripping CD's into the MP3 format using Windows Media Player, you can go to one of the respectable shareware sites and download a MP3 CD ripping tool for free. Hope it works out for ya, good luck..."D"

RE: MP3s on Disc
My 08 and my buddies 06 SG plays MP3's from my EZCD Creator porgram...remember you have to burn as a DATA file NOT MUSIC file to save about 250 songs on a 800 meg disc......that said, I just bought a XM add on from XM 's web site its small, called a "Express EZ" , paid $5.99 as an existing xm subscriber...sale ended march 31....now its 19.99....came with real small puck antenna, 12V power cord to plug into cig lighter...THAT WILL HIT YOUR TANK IF YOU TURN THE BARS ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT....YOUR WARNED, dont post later how to get a dent out of your tank, I dont know and dont want too. Tune radio to any unused fm station, select same on EZ express, tune to xm 14 blugrass and rip the dial off, your done.
