I've never cleaned a pair of gloves in my life. I guess I just don't care if my hands smell like crap.

But is there a way to prevent your hands from turning black if you do get caught in the rain. sometimes it takes a few days for my hands to no longer have black on them.

I'd buy the Harley "de-sweaterizer" p/n 08-44532. It's on sale now for $79.95.You can sweat like a pig all dayandafter only 2 minutes in the de-sweaterizer,they're bone dry.

you can soak your gloves in a mix of water & white vinager to get the loose dye out, have done that on my last 2 pair, no dye on my hands and no adverse effects on the gloves, rinse well to get the vinager fully out

I turn them inside out andscrub them with mild detergent and let them dry.
I then use Leather cleaner and a little conditioneron the outside.
AlsoI have some thin cotton gloves that I occasionally wear inside the leather, They keepmy hands cooler and less sweaty in summer and are a littlewarmer in winter.
