Cruise Control Adjustment?
Haven't we been here before? Why in the heck would you need your cruise to engage above 85 mph anyway? Do you have a death wish?
Pick which one YOU like....

As for a 'fix' on the cruise, sorry never heard of one.
Okay dude - so tell us, oh Highway Wizard...how many miles do YOU do a year? How far do YOU travel in a day on vacation ON THE BIKE?
C'mon, dude - if yer gonna bust chops, tell us ALL of yer wonderous abilities.....otherwise, STFU.
Guys, I've yet to find a "beat" to it that I'd be comfortable with telling others about, or doing as a permanent change on mah own bike. You can "spoof" it, ah'm sure - but ah'm leery as ta what other impact it may have on the electronics of the bike, an' jest ain't taken the time ta really dig into it.....
My point being, other than having a laugh at the post's comments to go with my late evening beer, is ...
Just ride.
Regarding my rider's resume.
I ride enough to get to where I am going. My usual weekend rides are local and average 200mi day. Road trips average about 350 a day - and that is fine for me. Plenny more in the tank, but by that time I have usually found somewhere worth being.
I am not into killing myself over getting somewhere. I just make sure that where I am is good. As a result I stay off the slab. In California, contrary to popular opinion we have great twisty roads through beautiful country as soon as you leave the city. So I don't need to ride a kuntree mile to get there.
Even if I did, I wouldn't be all fretting about riding better that 90 with my cruise control on, I would worry more about how to make that part of the ride better - see a cooler hooked up in the tour-pak, great tunes, a cute little honey on the back, etc.
I certainly wouldn't worry about my cruise control working at better than 90 because you see, I have a Bagger, and at better than that speed it commands my full attention. And that does not include a cruise control. It is not the speed that bothers me. Heck, I have a 3 rides in my garage that do better than 175 effortlessly.
Not to mention, why don't you just use the thumb lock if it is that big a deal???
And what if a pack of Armadillos wants to cross the road, what then?
All this is merely my opinion. So don't feel like you have to change your life decisions for me. The post made me laugh a bit, and you made me laugh a bit more.
Y'all have a great day!

I have business reasons to run to Reno from Vegas and back once a year on US 95. I have made the trip several times on either a Sportster or the Road King Classic. With the Sportster, I just set the throttle friction lock to 90 mph at a setting where it would stay in place but I could roll it off when required. On the Road King Classic, I had to set the cruise at 84 mph and be happy with that. To drop out of cruise, I would very lightly touch the front brake lever. I too don't like to take my hands off of the grips while at any kind of 'speed'.
BTW;I know a guy whomade that run a few years ago leaving Las Vegas at midnight. He AVERAGED 100 mph to the Sparks city limits in a Mercedes sports coupe! ............. BC

I could not set the CC over 84 but can bump it up after setting it by pushing the lever forward.
I just got back from riding from Michigan to Florida andback. I spent many hours 90 + almost tank to tank, and the cruise control will work over 90.85 or 90, what's the difference?
