Anyone know if there is any way to increase the cruising speed above 85? I think I remember reading in the owners manual that the cruise is only operable from 55-85 mph. This weekend I was on the freeway and was moving between 80-95 mph. Every time I tried to get over 85 it shut off. I was wondering if there is any download out there that would let you increase it over 85. Thanks all.
I think if you guys are going any faster than that you need to pay more attention to the road and keep your hand on the bars. Besides, the wrist workout will do you good - good grief.
The damn cupholder turns back and spills the coffee at 110 tooI bet...
You guys sound like the same type that think that golf tees are for you to set your "*****" on before you "drive" .
Just busting your *****, but really, if riding the bike is all that much work just send them my way.
Okay dude - so tell us, oh Highway Wizard...how many miles do YOU do a year? How far do YOU travel in a day on vacation ON THE BIKE?
C'mon, dude - if yer gonna bust chops, tell us ALL of yer wonderous abilities.....otherwise, STFU.
Guys, I've yet to find a "beat" to it that I'd be comfortable with telling others about, or doing as a permanent change on mah own bike. You can "spoof" it, ah'm sure - but ah'm leery as ta what other impact it may have on the electronics of the bike, an' jest ain't taken the time ta really dig into it.....
Haven't tried it and don't intend to, but the ECM reads speed as a voltage so you would PROBABLYneed to trick the speed sensor's voltage output to the cruise module.
what type of bike and what year?
my 08 touringmanual says minimum cruise speed is 30mph and max is 85mph.
I don't believe it can be set any higher than 85 (safety reasons)
TexasRedneck; I am glad I speak fluent "TEXANESE" as I am sure there are some that are wondering what the heck it was that you just said. LMAO, Ah growed up in Wichita Falls

My advice, don't fool with cruise control. The thought of trying to stop all that weight and the torque of the engine at those speeds if things go wrong scares the hell out of me!

In THAT case, then ya don't wanna read threads lahk this one - 'cuz on THIS side of the pond, brother, ah kin show ya roads that run straight ta the horizon. It's not at all uncommon ta run tank-to-tank at 90+.
