Default Thunderheaders - no more blue?

I really want to go with a setup thats for sale on ebay that combines v&h true dual headpipes with thunderheader mufflers. Sounds great to me. My only problem is that thunderheaders look like S#!T after about a week. I had heard from the dealer in town (trying to sell them) that thunderheader now has heatshields that totally cover the bluing, and they never get ugly like they used to.

Is this true??

I just bought the same set up off ebay, they arrived yesterday. I didn't buy the heat shields though. It will be a couple weeks till I get them put on & i'll see if they blue out enough for me to spend the money on heat shields.

I have samson duals thunderheader slipons, They have been on for about 4000 thousand miles and no bluing, knock on wood.My bike is carbed dont know if that is why. It does seem like injected bikes blue pipes easier.
