+1 on the pop up lid. It is great! It amazes me how many people don't lock there bike. I bet I could go up to 80% of the baggers i see and just turn the ****!
Being able to turn the ignition only allows you to read the odometer on bikes with the security feature. I like that, & I also like the push button fuel door release, but a Harley mechanic friend says to carry a long thin screwdriver if you have the push button. He claims to have replaced a lot of 'em for failure, but says you can pop 'em from the bottom with the screwdriver without damagin' the console. Haven't had the failure yet, but the screwdriver idea is easy & cheap.

with the new bikes security system you need to have the remote that goes with the key it has a proximity sensor that shuts the ignition down you dont have to press the button you just have to be near the bike to start it .So if you start the bike with keys and remote in the garage and then move away the next time you try to start it wont thats why I take the card with the instructions for the pin number and code and keep it in the wallet

My bike is locked every time I stop and get off....partly to remind me to make sure I have the key. This is the first bike I've had that doesn't require the key in the ignition to start....still not sure if I like it. I do have my PIN set, and I like the idea of keeping a barrel key in the tool bag for the gas....gonna have to pick one up.

The good thing about the fuel door is that ANY H-D key will open it.
