i know im in the same boat i have the hog tunes speakers,i know hog tunes has an amp for 217.00 but it really doent boost your power to much gives more bass i have heard. Most people that have had one say they were expecting more and were disatisfied. But thats just what i read no personal experience. I have thought about just selling the speakers and getting a 4 ohm amp and speakers. There are aot more options out there and cheaper.
No offence Dirtdobber but I got the Hogtune 4 speaker system (2 in fairing & 2 in Lowers) and it is 1/4 of the Hawg Wired price ($380 compared to $1630).
Ya it ain't no 300 watt systembut I was riding last night with my 3/4 helmet with my snowmobile balaclava under my helmet and my tunes were plenty LOUD enough.
Xtreme ...
Ya I also had the Hotune 2 ohm ones BEFORE I bought the new system. All I did was sell them HERE for $50 & shipping for the pair. They sold within a day !
Rob .....
What does the 08 street glide take? 2 or 4 ohms. I've got a set of hogtunes 2 ohms from my brother because he heard about them and bought the for my birthday. Haven't put them in yet.
I just installed hog tunes speakers in my Ultra last weekend. They are a little better than stock speakers but was disappointed in the amount of bass they produce. Sound is basically midrange in tone. Not what I was hoping for.
