I put the lowering shocks on the rear of my '05 Ultra Classic....no problems at all. I didn't go with the Harley shocks....went with after market ones that look better and saved the $$$ for other improvements.
I put hd lowered shock on my bike, them a lowering kit in the rear with with stock shocks, and finally got some sense and dished out a little more for the progressive 440' sheavy duties at an 1" shorter than stock. Glad I made the purchase. HD lowered shocks are aweful in my opinion. Still have all the other stuff sitting in my garage. If you have not purchased the hd lowering shocks yet... I would give you a deal on mine and they have chrome covers installed on them.
I would like to lower my RK Classic but ever since I added my Rinehart True duals and added the supplied spacers for the rightside floor board (added clearance between floorboard and pipes) I scrape the right side floor board fairly often. (( thinking about cutting the spacer in half (thickness)) Did you notice any lean angle problems with the shorter shocks?

Allen,
I just installed spacers on my Street Glide. These spacers moved both of my floorboards out 3/4" further from the bike. I then raised the floorboards up a notch to compensate for the decreased cornering clearance. Have you tried moving your floorboards up a notch?
Thanks Doug. I honestly didn't know that I could move them up. I'll fix that as soon as I get my bike back from the HD dealer, ....they are trying to fix the cruise control.

I'm gonna put in the HD profile lowered shock on the rear of my RKC. Is ther any problem with installing the rear ones only?
I plan on having HD do my front ones. I hear they're a bit messy for the layman to tackle.
Your comments and advise are appreciated as always.
I've had HD low profile shocks on my bike since about a month after I got it. I haven't noticed any problems. I've only scraped my floor board once and that was taking a sharp U-turn. I wouldn't hesitate to put them on again.
