SE Stage 1 is complete
The sound is awesome, just cruising, it is not so loud that it hurts to think, but twist on a little throttle, and she has a nice bark. And I was happy with performance before, and am just a little happier now. I know this set-up is not for everyone, but it sure works for me. I will take new pics and post soon.
The only downside I can find is they are a couple inches longer than stock, so my days of wheelies on the scoot are over.
I have the same setup and agree with your reaction. I was satisfied with it until I read on here about the stereo sound of true duals. Once I read that it bothered me to no end that I could always hear the right muffler but not the left. Sooo... My V&H dresser duals and PCIII will arrive on Monday. By Wednesday my sound should be evened out.
Ciao!
Wait... You could do wheelies on a stock RK??

I had slip-on's on two previous RK's with the stock crossover pipes, then installed duals. [sm=happy046.gif]

Worked for me too. Not for everyone, but I wasn't looking to tune and tinker. I just wanted to open up the inhale / exhale and get it more gas. I couldn't be happier.
