Okay, been reading a lot about the Kennedy Technology Group CellSetfor the Zumo 550. The question I have for all who have one or know of someone who does, is how do you like it? Was it hard to install? and where is the cheapest place to purchase it if one chose to do so?
My main interest is to listen to my MP3 CD's or radio and still be able to answer the phone and / or listen to alerts through the blue-tooth capabilities ofmy Zumoon my bikes head sets. Thanks in advance, take care ans ride safe..."D"
I live in Wichita, and I know Jon at Kennedy Technology Group (Rose Hill, KS). I had a Valkyrie, and he and I worked on my bike to figure out the weird way Honda did the push-to-talk switch so i could adapt a Ham 2 Meter radio to one of his cell sets on my bike.
His kits are now modular, and you buy the parts you need to build your final set. The stuff is not cheap, but they are first class, all connectors are plug-and play. I have not seen the instructions on his new stuff, but I had no problems with my kit.
His first passion is aircraft electronics, and I'm not sure what all he makes, but if it's possible to say "aircraft quality construction" I would say that about CellSet stuff.
