I am scraping mine all the time. Both left and right. Twist it up. Who says a bagger cant take corners
It's not the edges of the floorboards he is scraping......its the MOUNTS.

You'll slow down once that rear tire loses contact with the road and you go down... best advise is to slow down. Ask me how I know...

[:-]Anyone else here find this to be annoying? I'm not talking about scraping em at low speeds for fun and to practice your slow speed tight skills. I'm talking about taking a fast 90 degree turn and then outta nowhere WHACK !! Upsets the chassis big time and yeah sparks fly out too.I looked under the bike yesterday andthe freakin rear mount of the black part of the floorboard bracket is shiny silver withwaht looks like concreate dust around it andhas a chunk missing out of it. I run about 40 lbs rear 36 front 15 or 20 in air shocks. I weigh 213 lbs and when alone stuff scrapes because I ride a little agressive- okay thats fair, but when i ride normal with a passenger I stillhave to lean the bike a little far over sometimes and it scrapes and drags too easily IMO. My son is 190 lbs, my daughter is 90 lbs. I don't even know shes back there as far as weight goes. My son on the other hand... Ehhh, I feel the weight sometimes. ANYWAYI noticed there are what look like 2 or maybe 3 semi circular holes where the board bracket mounts to the frame. I am on the lowest and as far asI know the bike came that way. the thought of moving em up and loosing leg stretch room has crossed my mind now although I am only at 31 inch inseam and already would like a bitmore room but its okay now. Has anyone else had this complaint or moved the boards up a notch if possible??
You might be more comfortable with a bike made for ridin'... as opposed to sitting on...the Geezer Glides only have 30.0° of lean angle... You could always raise your suspension too.

+1 Paniolo. Keep the gas on and counter steer. Look through the turn. Use caution learning. W

Man that is no lie.. I had this happen last weekend and it scared the **** out of me and my old lady.. I didn't wreck but I did slide for a little while without going the direction that I wanted to go. I get to my destination and notice that I scrapped off about 1/16 " of metal from that black frame piece that holds the floor board. I also was so far leaned over that I scratched the chrome on my floorboard. I was very very lucky that we didn't go down. I drive my bike much less hard through turns now... If I want to go fast through the twisties I'll get me a Buell and enjoy them!

Yes, the floorboards are easy to raise.

However, please note that the floorboard bracket is bolted to the frame, and when that bracket hits the road surfacehard enough, the rear tire will raise and loose contact with the road surface.

At that time you will make contact with the road surface.

As was already posted, if you intend to continue riding that aggressively, please get a sport bike before your"road sofa" kills you.

I have scraped the boards a couple of times on my RG. The balance was never upset. The
boards folded up a little. You have to get the feel for when you have gone far enough.
I hate that scraping sound.[:@]

Have you considered a rider safety course. They teach proper cornering techniques,

I'm no expert, but, sounds like the bike is telling you something here! You are getting a bit too aggressive and risking a crash. Time to back off a notch.
